Russian Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision has prohibited import of 383 kg of foods of animal origin in Bashkortostan in 2011

The state inspectors of the Russian Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision in RB have prohibited the import of 383 kg of foods of animal origin in 2011. The passengers, arriving in the territory of Russian through the international airport “Ufa” tried to carry it through the airport’s check-point in the hand luggage. The guests from Armenia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan carried 176 kg of milk products, 179kg of meat, 12 kg of cooled fish and 16kg of honey.

According to the decree of the Russian Government all these foods were liquidated.

The products, brought in hand luggage by the passengers through the Ufa airport’s check-point are found under strict control 24 hours a day for protection from dangerous animal diseases, including the African swine fever.
