The Coordination Council of the Committee for affairs of warriors-internationalists CIS is meeting in Ufa Congress-Hall today. Representatives of the veteran organizations from Russia, Byelorussia, Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kirgizia, Tajikistan, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia are taking part in the gathering. The President RB Rustem Khamitov, the State Duma deputy on veteran affairs Irshat Fakhritdinov, members of the Government RB and the Bashkir veteran organizations are present too.
The agenda includes the summary report of the Committee’s Chairman, the Hero of the Soviet Union Ruslan Aushev.
Participants of the session intend to examine the main directions in further development of medical-social aid for the veterans of local wars and members of their families in 2006-2010 and till 2015. They will also discuss the legislative initiatives on improvement of social-legal state of the veterans in CIS countries. The Regulations concerning CIS interaction bodies and the plan of actions, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of CIS will be under consideration too.
