Banks are ready to finance innovational projects of Bashkir business
Business undertakings in Russia in a whole and in Bashkortostan in particular are developing rather stably. By the number of small and medium business companies we even leave some western countries behind but the number of innovational companies, which really move economics forward, is still too small, as the participants of the conference, held in Ufa today, agreed. The representatives of business, bank community, authority and public organizations gathered in Ufa to discuss the role of financial institutes in modernization of regional economics. The bankers, including the representatives of some foreign banks, say they are ready to help local business, giving preference to the business-projects in sphere of innovations and modernization.
“Innovations are something, protected by patents, where intellectual property is the main asset, and modernization means refurbishment and inculcation of the progressive technologies” – the manager of the Russian Development Bank investment operations department – the 100%-daughter of “VNESHECONOMBANK” – the bank, authorized to realization of the state programs for support of small and medium business – Olga Torbova cleared the matter up.
She introduced the federal program for support of innovational business-projects with very attractive interest rates. The Russian Development Bank carefully tracks that these interest rates mustn’t exceed the level of 1/3 of the Russian Central Bank’s refinancing rate: now this refinancing rate is 10,67%.
“Bashkortostan is very promising region from the point of view of realization of this program” – Olga Torbova underscored.
The acting president of the Trade-Industry Chamber RB Azat Fazlyev also said about the improving investment climate in the Republic.
“As the organization, established by business for solution of its problems and aims, we are happy that people from business take up many key state posts today. The Republican leadership has clear understanding in what way and how we have to move forward and business community and authority maintain correct and quite professional dialogue” – he said.
