Construction of the plant for production of gypsum plasterboards won’t blight ecology in Bashkortostan
The company “Saint-Gobain” intends to erect the plant for production of gypsum plasterboards in Bashkortostan. The state building and architecture committee RB has reported many times that this enterprise will be constructed with observation of the strictest ecological standards. Thus, the amount of dusty emissions is planned to be 18 times less than the maximum permissible values, nitrogen emissions – three times less and exploitation of the plant will be safe for the nearby water objects and subsoil waters. Gypsum is a natural staff and no aggressive and toxic chemical substances are used in the production processes.
The company “Saint-Gobain” is one of the largest producers of ecologically clean building materials in the world, including gypsum plasterboards. More than 1300 company’s divisions work in 55 countries, providing 210 thousand people with jobs.
The plant, which is to be erected in the Republic, will be supplied with the newest equipment, similar to that working at the company’s plants in France, Austria, Poland and other countries.
The delegation of our Republic has become acquainted with the activity of the plant for production of building materials, based on gypsum, in April 2008 in France. The plant is found in the center of the town, just 20 meters from the nearest cottages. The enterprise causes no problems for local residents: no noise, no dust, the negative influence upon environment is practically absent. According to the Russian standards similar production may discharge more than 250 tons of dust in the air annually. The plant, which is to be erected by “Saint-Gobain”, will discharge les than 14 tons of gypsum dust per year – 18 times less than the permissible standards. Besides, the company intends to invest 80 million euro in this production and it gives substantial increase of the tax intakes plus new workplaces. It is expected the number of the plant’s personnel will be about 200 people.
