The action “Sober Mopping”, organized by the World Bashkir Congress executive committee, the movement “Sober Bashkortostan”, the Youth Communities Association RB and by the public organization “Cultural Heritage RB”, will be held on the southwestern territory of Bashkiria between March 30 and April 10.
“The federal law “Tobacco Smoking Restriction”, prohibiting cigarettes sales within the limits of 100 meters fr om the territories of local education institutions is often violated in the country and we can often watch the sad picture that the majority of our schools and kindergartens are literally occupied by various kiosks and trade centers, wh ere strong drinks and cigarettes are sold almost all around the clock, every minute provoking our children to joining the unhealthy way of life and to self-liquidation through the tobacco poisoning” – the co-chairman of the movement “Sober Bashkortostan” Renat Zainullin said to the news agency “Bashinform”.
The participants of the action will uncover such shops and convince local population of the necessity to inform the law-enforcement bodies about similar violations of the law. Besides, this information about the trade points, selling cigarettes and drinks near schools, can be left on the site www.akzakon.ru.
The activists of “Sober Bashkortostan” hope that in the result of the action young people will buy fewer cigarettes and start joining really healthy way of life.
