Leading online editions of Bashkiria have signed the Charter of internet journalism today

author: Alfia Sharafutdinova

The representatives of online editions RB have signed the Charter of internet journalism today. Thereby these editions take the obligation to follow the moral-ethic clauses of the Charter upon themselves and thus receive the right to place the special logo on the sites – a sort of the quality sign.

Striving for working up the readers market and for saving the WWW from the stamp of a universal refuse pit the participants of this agreement engage themselves to specify the feedback contacts on their sites; they have to give all parties involved the possibility to express their points of view and to desist from releasing any messages, containing ethnic, social, racial and other insults. Besides, the parties mustn’t use foul language and stir up animosity on any ground. After the discussion of the Charter’s project the item concerning strict observation of the copyright law, using the materials of other sites, was added to its text. The list of the online editions, having signed the Charter, will be open for everyone on the site of the Journalists Union RB in order to avoid the illegal use of the Charter logo. This list includes such popular in Bashkiria online editions as “VATANDASH”, RB-XXI Century”, “KYZYL TAN”, YESHLEK”, “BASHPORTAL”, “Youth Newspaper”, “OMET”, “SHONKAR”, “Public Electronic Newspaper”, the independent blogger Husainov and the news agency “Bashinform”.
