Almost seven thousand first year pupils from more than 200 pilot schools of Bashkiria study according to the new educational system, the rector of the Institute for Education Development (BIRO)Ramil Mazitov reported at the all-Russian conference “The primary general education school in conditions of the new educational system of a new generation: experience, problems and prospects”, held in Ufa.

It should be reminded that the new federal standards for primary schools will become obligatory for all education institutions without exceptions beginning from September 2011, so it is quite natural that this theme worries many pedagogues as well as the parents.

What education will the future first formers receive? What ideals and values will they grasp in a new educational process? What aspects of the new standards will concern the teachers? The participants of the all-Russian forum tried to find the answers for these and many other questions. At present time 10075 teachers of primary classes work at the local schools. 43353 children have sat at the desks on September 1, 2010. According to the BIRO preliminary information 3170 teachers of the primary classes will be busy with teaching the first formers in September 2011.
