International conference, devoted to the 120th anniversary of Karim Khakimov, to be held in Ufa
The international conference “Russia and Islamic world: history and prospects of civilized interaction”, devoted to the 120th anniversary of the legendary Soviet diplomat Karim Khakimov, widely known as “Red Pasha”, will be held in Ufa on March 25-26. It is organized by the Presidential Administration RB, the Government RB, the Institute of Oriental Studies under the Russian Academy of Sciences and by he film company “Right”. The representatives of 35 countries will take part in the conference. The goal of the conference is consideration of the historical experience on making the relations between Russia and the Islamic countries, study of this experience for perfection of international relations of Russian Federation in conditions of growing globalization and intensification of inter-civilization interaction.
The “round tables”, where the role of Russian diplomats in development of the relations with the Islamic countries, the influence of the Islamic factor on foreign policy of our country and the influence of the Russian model of interaction between Christian and Islamic cultures on formation of the approaches to cooperation with the countries of the Middle East and other problems are to be discussed, will take place within the frames of the conference on March 25.
The plenary session of the international conference will take place in Ufa Congress-Hall on March 26 and the first demonstration of the documentary film “Karim Khakimov: the Middle Eastern Kremlin vizier” will take place there too.
The participants of the conference will become acquainted with the thematic exhibitions in the Congress-Hall and will watch the play by the Bashkir State Academic Dramatic Theater by Majit Gafuri “Red Pasha”.
