Bashkiria stakes on oil industry and agriculture
Oil refining, oil chemistry and agriculture are the key specialization of Bashkortostan, the deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB, Minister of economic development RB Vladimir Balabanov stated today, taking the floor with the summary report about activity of the Bashkir Government.
“These branches are historically strong in the Republic both by industrial potential and human capacity and our aim is to launch the processes of restoration and modernization” – the Vice-Premier mentioned.
According to him the first stage in realization of the Strategy for social-economic development of the region till 2020, approved in 2006, has completed in 2010. The practice shows this document already fails to meet the today’s realities now. At present time a new strategy is under development and several branch programs, in particular in sphere of chemistry and agriculture, have to appear already in 2011. At that while the biggest chemical companies of the region as well as the enterprises of oil refining, mining and machine-building spheres have managed to achieve serious results in 2010, overcoming the pre-crisis level of their production volumes, in sphere of agriculture the main indices remained essentially lower than the level of 2008.
In a whole the rise of industrial production in the region in 2010 made up 14% mainly thanks to the twice increase of the export deliveries. At the same time the structure of economics in the Republic remains not enough efficient, being too dependent upon the conjuncture of the rough markets. Rough materials and the products of their processing make up 83% in the export structure.
The main share in the structure of the shipped off production falls on oil products – 38%, chemical industry – 16, production of transport vehicles and equipment – 9, metallurgy – 7 and production of machines and equipment - 6%.
