The Charter of internet journalism is to be worked up in Bashkiria

author: Alfia Sharafutdinova

The internet journalists of Bashkiria will soon have their own code of honor and approving it the editors take the free obligation to specify the contacts for feedback on their internet pages, to avoid obscenities and kindling any discords and to follow some other requirements, which have to be finally worked out during the nearest week, upon themselves.

The decision concerning the necessity to approve such document – something like the Bible tables or the Hippocratic Oath for medics – was reached at today’s meeting with the Minister of communication and mass communications RB Boris Melkoedov. He has suggested that the participants of the meeting – the representatives of authority, mass-media, providers and supervisory boards — should work up certain recommendations and the rules of the play, which would permit to make the internet content more trustworthy. “It is inadmissible to create any virtual reality when the matter is real events and real life of concrete people” – the head of the Ministry has underscored.

If the certain regulators exist in the real world, same has to be done in the virtual reality, keeping up to date, and in opinion of the participants of the meeting the Republican mass-media should become such regulator in WWW.
