The privatization potential in Russia is practically worn out and this is the opinion of the President RB Rustem Khamitov, which he expressed in his interview to the journal “Producer of Russia”. According to him small and medium business is the only reserve, still not enough developed in Russia for today.

“For the last years we faced the so-called paternal management scheme, when we had just one center, responsible for making all vital solutions” – the President RB said – “People became disaccustomed to the self-dependent life, to making solutions and to what they have to earn money, attracting resources and investors, self-dependently. The majority of the population turned out to be in the risk zone”.

In opinion of the President RB the heads of the municipal formations have to work over making the production, industrial and economic environment in their municipalities, attracting investors, resources and modern means for making money.

“It doesn’t come easy because during 20 years people were told that there was the wise center, which understood and knew everything, possessing all competences for making solutions and for creating economic, industrial and production environment. Now many leaders of the municipal territories loose their heads but we try and help them”. This help means formation of the business-plans for development of the territories and training for local specialists.

“On February 1 we for the first time have the plans for development of the municipal territories. The most progressive heads of our municipalities have even made the investment passports of their territories and this is a big step forward” – Rustem Khamitov believes – “The Corporation for development of Republic of Bashkortostan was established to make these processes more or less balanced. This is a new experience for us. Now we are busy with making the investment passport of the Republic, which we never had before”.
