English-speaking exhibition by the International Woman’s Day

author: Rufina Khannanova

The exhibition of books in English language started working at the National Library by Akhmet-Zaki Validi. It is devoted to the International Woman’s Day.

The majority of the editions, presented at the exhibition, are written by women and about women. The visitors may become acquainted with the autobiographic books about famous ladies – Audrey Hepburn, Diana – the Princess of Wales, Vivien Lee, Queen Victoria and others. Every woman here has her own secret and that makes these books so popular.

The famous novels “Gone with the Wind”, “Singing in a Blackthorn” and “Women in Love” tell about selfless struggle of women for their love and these books can be also found in the exposition.
