The Days of Christian literature started in Bashkiria on February 28. The action is initiated by the Moscow Patriarchy’s publishing house and dated to the publication of the first printed edition of “Apostle”, falling on March 1. It was published in 1564.
The missioner’s department of Ufa eparchy reports the Republican education institutions and public organizations are taking an active part in the Days together with the eparchy itself.
The Days of Christian literature are aimed at the attraction of wide public to restoration of the book culture in Russian regions, to awakening of the interest in books among young people first of all and to the rise of the level of culture in our society in a whole. In opinion of the initiators the church can play far from the last role in this process.
