author: Eugene Rakhimkulov

The exhibition of the well-known painter from Bulgaria Cornelia Margan will start working in the town of Meleuz, the executive director of the Friendship Society “Bashkortostan-Bulgaria” Tatiana Korobova reported on February 28 at the press-conference in the news agency “Bashinform”. According to her, more than 20 pictures, recently demonstrated in Nizhniy Novgorod, will be delivered for Meleuz on March 3.

Cornelia Margan is the pseudonym of our compatriot Nellie Merzabekova. She was born in Orenburg, lived in Bashkiria for a long time and later migrated to Bulgaria. Living near the Danube Cornelia Margan remains our compatriot by her spirit and creative thinking. Russian and Bashkir landscapes are present in her works along with the Bulgarian ones.

In summer 2010 the works by Cornelia Margan have already been demonstrated in Ufa, the Art Gallery “Ural”. It is quite possible that after Meleuz her new exhibition will be presented to other towns of Bashkiria.
