In the nearest future the bridge over Kama will connect Udmurtia and Bashkiria and it will permit to improve transport communication between our Republics, as the chairman of the Udmurt Republic’s State Council Alexander Soloviev reported during his official visit to Ufa.

“Construction of such bridge represents rather actual problem for both regions” – he said after the meeting with the President of Bashkiria Rustem Khamitov – “And today this problem is practically solved. The sum, necessary for the bridge construction, will be allocated from the federal exchequer”.

Rustem Khamitov and Alexander Soloviev have also discussed the problem of agriculture development and the destiny of many villages. In opinion of Alexander Soloviev the problem of rural desolation and outflow of rural population to the big Russian cities is typical for practically all regions of the country. This problem can be partially solved by construction of schools in the villages because the rural school is more than school but the center of culture.

Rustem Khamitov and Alexander Soloviev have also discussed possible prospects of cooperation between Bashkiria and Udmurtia in sphere of industry and strengthening of the international agreement in the regions.
