The IT market of Bashkiria is big enough and goes on growing, the Minister of industry and innovational policy RB Robert Vagapov reported at the last meeting of the Council for scientific-technical and innovational policy under the Government RB.
The annual volumes of shipment of goods of own production and the volumes of IT works and services make up about 13-15%.
“The costs for such technologies in the Republic make up about 9-10 billion rubles and at that the rates of cost growth make up about 40-70% per year during last five years” – he reported – “The overall number of specialists in this sphere is about 12 thousand people. Every year our institutes train additionally more than one thousand and a half of specialists for IT sphere. Thereby this sector represents the great potential for further progress”.
At the same time certain restrictions hamper the further rise of investments in IT sphere, for example, the insufficient development of the innovational experimental base. There are great number of various databases, managed by different structures and departments in the Republic. As Robert Vagapov believes, the uniting of these databases will allow solving the problems of doubling, thus substantially reducing their cost due to collective use of these resources.
“The establishment of the unified IT center for support of state and municipal solutions is considered one of the most important projects in this direction” – he reported – “Another big project is development of the backbone in IT sphere. Since the software is enough expensive, establishment of the centers for collective unique software use looks quite promising. The solution of all these problems will help us to provide wide-scaled attraction of the great number of uncoordinated small enterprises to realization of the biggest IT projects”.
