The official delegation of Bashkiria, headed by the first deputy Minister of agriculture RB Nikolai Kovalenko, left for Berlin on January 21 for participation in the “Green Week”. The international exhibition “Green Week” traditionally demonstrates foods, timber and wood-cutting industry, landscape designs and gardening, technologies of reproduction and growing of poultry and cattle.
In 2011 Bashkortostan will take part in this exhibition for the seventh time and special pavilion with the area 6000 square meters is traditionally allocated for the Russian exposition. Agrarians of Bashkortostan will demonstrate their achievements here too. Russian exposition will present the newest technologies and scientific achievements in sphere of agriculture, food industry, the full assortment of foods and arts and crafts.
Today Republican agrarians will take part in the solemn opening ceremony and will become the participants of the regional podium discussion within the frames of the Global Forum on food and agriculture (GFFA) “Development of agriculture and food industry in Eastern Europe and Central Asia”.
The participation in the co-operation forum, in the international conference of ministers of agriculture “Trade and provision of world population with foods: global, regional and local levels” is scheduled on January 22. Presentations of Mordvinia, Yamal-Nenets autonomous district, Kirov region will take place the same day as well as the Berlin agrarian summit of ministers of agriculture. The main Bashkir participants are the “Bashkir scientific-research center for bee-keeping and apitherapy” and JSC “BASHSPIRT”.
