January 21, in Berlin, the official opening of Europe's largest international exhibition "Green Week" will take place. Russia will become one of the largest exhibitors. The exposition of our country will take a separate pavilion area of 6000 sq. m.
27 Russian regions take part in the exhibition in 2011. The largest exhibition will present the Krasnodar Territory, Rostov Region, Tatarstan Republic and the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District. Despite the difficult weather conditions in 2010 the regions, having suffered fr om the drought will also present their products: Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Mordvinia, the Kirov and the Tambov region. The Russian delegation at the exhibition is headed by Russian Agriculture Minister Elena Skrynnik. For the first time this year, the center of the Russian exposition will be occupied by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, wh ere European experts will evaluate the development of agro-industrial country and the investment potential of Russia.
Every day in the Russian pavilion will be the tasting ceremonies within the Days of the national cookeries of Russian regions. According to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, along with a wide range of foods, there will also be featuring the latest technologies and scientific advances in agricultural production and food processing industries. Visitors will be able to participate in various fairs and souvenir crafts of Russia.
Among the main tasks of the Russian exposition at the International Exhibition "Green Week" — showing the export opportunities of Russian agricultural complex, cutting-edge high technology demonstration activities of AIC, whose products are in demand in the global market, the study of foreign food market, find new markets for Russian food, demonstrations of key prospects for Russian agricultural sector, the expansion of contacts between the specialists, the exchange of professional information, etc.
On Friday, 21 January, an official delegation of the Republic of Bashkortostan Republic will fly to Berlin to participate in the "Green Week". Bashkir farmers will be for the seventh time involved in a major European exhibition. Bashkiria will be represented by the Bashkir scientific-research center for bee-keeping and apitherapy and by JSC “BASHSPIRT”. These companies will deliver their best products – Bashkir honey and various strong drinks – for the exhibition.
