New Ice Palace is opened in Sibay
Sibay administration reports the Ice Palace “IRENDYK” was solemnly opened in the town of Sibay on Thursday and the deputy Minister of youth policy and sport RB Ruslan Bikimbetov, General Director of the company “Bashkir Copper” Gayaz Sharipov, the deputy head of Magnitogorsk Sergey Kimaikin, the head of Chelyabinsk region’s Kizilsky district Eugene Makarov and heads of Sibay enterprises and organizations participated in the solemn ceremony.
The palace is erected within the frames of the programs “Development of physical culture and sport in Russian Federation in 2006-2015” and “Construction and reconstruction of special sports objects for the period till 2015” and its construction was financed jointly from federal and Republican budgets.
The overall area of the object is 4773,6 square meters, the dimensions of the skating ring – 60x30 meters, the stands capacity is 540 seats. Hockey, figure skating and short-track will be the main kinds of sport here.
