The Russian cosmonaut Vladimir Kovalenok arrived in Ufa by invitation of the regional Cosmonautics Federation division. He has a talk with the President of Bashkiria Rustem Khamitov the day before.

As the executive director of the regional division Sergey Plukhov reported, in the course of the meeting the parties agreed to establish the space center for children in Ufa in the nearest future. Rustem Khamitov also promised to head the excursion of the Bashkir pupils to the cosmodrome “Baikonur” personally. The excursion is scheduled on the end of March 2011. The senior pupils RB will become the witnesses of the regular spaceship’s start. It is remarkable that it is decided to include difficult children, registered by the juvenile inspection, to the staff of the excursion. As the practice shows, after such excursions difficult children often cardinally change their views. In opinion of the organizers the excursion to Baikonur will have not just the cognitive but also the pedagogical essence for the Bashkir senior pupils.

Vladimir Kovalenok also visited the village Kyanovo in Krasnokamsky region RB, where he had a talk to the local pupils. After that he held a meeting with the director of the company “Bashkir Honey” Rishat Galeev. This company delivers Bashkir honey for the international space station during ten years and Bashkir honey enjoys wide popularity not only among Russian cosmonauts but also among their colleagues from other countries.
