Bashkiria and Estonia develop cooperation in sphere of youth, educational and cultural exchanges

Within the frames of the international project “Baltic Dialogue – Following the tracks of Salavat Ulaev” the delegation of the Committee on UNESCO Affairs RB has visited Estonia.

In the town of Paldiski the representatives of Bashkiria have laid flowers to the monument of the Bashkir national hero. Later the delegation has held a meeting with the representatives of the town administration with the Mayor Kaupo Kallas at the head. The guests have visited the museum of Salavat Ulaev. The head of the Bashkir delegation, chairman of the World Bashkir Kurultay executive committee Ilgiz Sultanmuratov said many thanks to the town administrative for careful attitude to the history and culture of the Bashkir nation and presented new exhibits, books and informational materials about Salavat Ulaev and Republic of Bashkortostan.

In the course of the negotiations the parties were discussing various aspects of cooperation on UNESCO directions and special focus was laid on development of the bilateral youth, educational and cultural exchanges between the town of Paldiski, the Bashkir town of Salavat and Salavatsky region RB.

Our delegation has held several meetings with our compatriots and activists of the Bashkir culture society “AGIDEL” in Tallinn. The photo-exhibition about Bashkortostan and joint show of the Bashkir and Estonian artists were organized there too.

The visit’s program includes the visits to Lithuania and Latvia and the project is developed within the frames of the International Year of Dialogue between national cultures.
