A well-known Bashkir writer and narcology expert Arthur Kudashev approved establishment of the regional public movement “Sober Bashkortostan”. The movement was established on December 4, 2010.
“One can just welcome such initiatives” – he said – “Because they are useful as an element of the state anti-alcohol policy and as an evidence of further development of Russian public society”.
As M-r Kudashev said, the most interesting thing in the program of “Sober Bashkortostan” is that they intend to start struggling with the alcohol first of all in the local villages, which are considered the most difficult “sector of the front”. Earlier the program ideas of “Sober Bashkortostan” were already supported by several Republican public organizations, including the World Bashkir Kurultay executive committee and the Russian Council RB.
