Every citizen of Bashkiria may leave comments and critical remarks to the bill “Education in Russian Federation”. Its text was published on Wednesday, December 1, on the site www.zakonoproekt.ru. The discussion will last till February 1, 2011.

The original document was published on the official site of the Ministry of education and science of Russia in May 2010 and during six months the bill was discussing by the Russian Public Chamber, by the Federation Council, by State Duma deputies and in the Union of Rectors of Russia. The educational community of the country was mainly discussing the bill. The seriously changed text has become the result of these debates. Now this text is offered to wide public on the abovementioned site.

This document is called to replace two basic laws – “Education” and “The higher and after-graduate professional education”, passed in 1992 and 1996 correspondingly. The new bill will prescribe the standards on all levels of education, including pre-school and professional education – primary, secondary, higher and additional.

“I believe that maximal participation of Russian citizens in discussion of a new bill about education will be of paramount importance and I’m sure that jointly we will be able to work up the text, meeting the interests of all citizens and directed to the future” – the Minister of education and science RF Andre Fursenko said.

By the way, the bill “About police” was discussed in the same way.
