The diamond’s deposit in Bashkiria according to the forecasts is estimated at 50 million carats. It is located in Beloretsky region RB in the upper Belaya-river, the head of the subsurface management dept RB Rasikh Khamitov reported to “Bashinform” today.
According to him there are approximately ten kimberlitic pipes, containing diamonds, on the territory of Bashkiria. In all probability their origin is related to the Arkhangelskoe deposit but sill only some satellites of the diamonds were discovered. At the same time local settlers found small diamonds near the upper Belaya-river already several times.
As Rasikh Khamitov said, the search of diamonds is rather cost-is-no-object business. The diamonds lie at high depth on our territory and there is the supposition that these diamonds belong to the secondary collector.
“Besides, the forecast indices don’t mean the abundant supplies and these supplies have to be reached first” – he explained – “The accomplishment of such expensive works always means a high risk for investors and only after the official confirmation of the supplies we may start talking about the beginning of the experimental-industrial works but we do hope the diamonds will be discovered in Bashkiria early or late”.
