The contest of scientific-research works “Russia by 2050” starts in the country

The acceptance of the claims for participation in the all-Russian contest of scientific-research works to the theme “Russia by 2050” starts today. The main goal of the contest is attraction of the best Russian talents to formation of the future strategy in development of the country. The winning works will form the base of the final document “The strategy of Russia by 2050 – the opinion of youth”. This document can become the base of the state development concept of the country.

The contest is scheduled from the 1st of November, 2010 to February 1, 2011 and within this period the competitors have to introduce their projects to one of five themes offered: “Innovations and modernization”, “Efficient policy and state management”, “Russia is a social state”, “Informatization” and “Cultural Renaissance”.

The expert’s commission, which staff includes the best brains of Russian science, business, public organizations and authority, such as the doctor of economical sciences Eugene Yasin, the President of the Russian Union of Producers and Employers Alexander Shokhin, the President of the “Association of Managers” Dmitry Zelenin and others, will determine the winners. The project is supported by the Ministry of education and science RF and his Minister Andre Fursenko, the Federation Council and the first deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Council Alexander Torshin, the Federal Youth Affairs Agency and many other representatives of the state structures, interested in formation of the long-term strategy in development of Russia.

“We used to live and make plans for a short period of time or at best for the 5-10-year period. The project “Russia by 2050” is called to reach the remote horizons and to help our youth and the whole Russian community to live not for a moment but for tomorrow and the day after tomorrow” – the President of the Russian Union of Producers and Employers Alexander Shokhin believes.

The winners will be rewarded with the grants at the rate of 500000, 300000 and 150000 rubles for the first, second and third places correspondingly. In a whole 15 grants will be allocated: three grants in every nomination. The participant, able to introduce the project, the most relevant to the project’s goals, will be rewarded with the Grand Prix at the rate of 1000000 rubles.

The initiators of the project – the Moscow financial-industrial academy and the business school “Synergy” and the company “Vim-Bill-Dan” – invite all citizens of Russia, to whom the destiny of the country isn’t indifferent, to take part in the all-Russian contest of scientific and research works “Russia by 2020”.
