More and more churches and mosques are erected in the villages of Bashkiria.
In particular, the construction of a new Christian church started in 2010 in the village SHARAN and traditionally all villagers were taking part in this erection. After the end of the works the church will undoubtedly become a decoration of the administrative center of Sharansky region and the unique work of wooden architecture.
October 22 will become a remarkable date for local Christians. After many decades the domes with the crosses tower again over the village SHARAN. The domes are coated with the stainless sheets, decorated under gold and silver and the under-dome drums are provided with the special decorative elements. All these details form the intricate shape of the church’s roofing.
From the history: according to information of the well-known local lore scientist Kuzma Sarychev the Sharansky brass works had ceased to exist in 1850 but the settlement went on living and after the Michael the Archangel Church was erected, the settlement became a village. Since 1862 the villagers began to celebrate the Michael’s Day every year on November 21. On December 24, 1873, the church’s guardianship was opened in the village and two parish schools: the male and the feminine ones started working under the church.
In the Soviet times the dome with the cross and the big bell had been demounted and the church’s building was placed to a culture institution.
