In the nearest future Jordanian linguists can begin translating the classics of Bashkir literature, the deputy head of the Presidential administration’s public and political development department, a member of the Bashkir-Arab Friendship Society Gulnur Kulsarina reported on Thursday.
“In the course of our recent trip to Syria and Jordan we’ve hold a meeting with the representatives of the Jordan’s Writers League” –she told – “It was interesting for us to get to know that they actively translated Chekhov and other classics of Russian literature. They would like to start translating Bashkir classics too and in the first turn they are interested in translation of their works in our Republic. I think that such cooperation is quite possible and can enrich both our and Jordanian cultures”.
