The meeting of the President of Russia and the President of Bashkortostan has taken place in Moscow
The President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has held a meeting with the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov on Thursday, October 21, in Moscow, in the residence of the head of the Russian state “GORKI-9”.
In the course of the meeting Rustem Khamitov told about the results of the first three months of his work on the post of the head of the region. “All aims, set before the Republic by the leadership of the country, are being solved”- he underscored.
Dmitry Medvedev was interested in realization of the social programs in the Republic, oriented first of all to the backing of the people of both mature and old age. The head of the state has paid special attention to medicinal provision of the elderly people, living in the countryside and underscored that development of the medical attendant’s and obstetrical points in the villages should become one of the prior directions of social support, moreover these points received more permissions a present time. In particular, they’ve got the right to distribute medicines. Rustem Khamitov has answered there are more than one thousand such points in the Republic now and the program for their renovation and repair is running in Bashkortostan at present time. Rustem Khamitov has also told the President of Russia about a new program for elderly people, which realization has to begin in 2011. At the expense of the Republican budget the pensioners may go to the tourist trips to different Russian cities. The President of Russia has approved this idea and said he hasn’t yet heard about such projects in the country and Bashkortostan can become the pilot region for development of such project. Rustem Khamitov has also reported that several dozens million rubles are planned in the Republican budget-2011 for development of such forms of social work.
