The book with the names of the natives of Tuimazinsky region of Bashkortostan, having perished during the Great Patriotic War, has been published five years ago. But its circulation was rather small, the copies were handed over to other people in person and they made copies of the pages with the names of their relatives in order to keep the memory for the future generations. In order to make “The Memory Book” available for everybody the group of specialists from the local juridical college decided to make this book electronic and to place it on the site of Tuimazinsky regional administration. The project started in December 2009. By the summer holidays a half of ten thousand families in the paper variant were turned to the electronic version. The whole work should be completed in the nearest future. But the list of the families, published in the paper variant is not the final, the college’s director Nurislam Salimgarev says. It will be replenished with the new names and the documents, received from the relatives of the perished front-line soldiers. The Tuimazy local lore museum and the central library will be involved in the project too.
