The President of Bashkortostan outlined the main aims, standing before the Republic, during his meeting with the young journalists in Ufa Congress-Hall today.
“The first such aim is to provide our people with jobs” – the President said – “At present time 1,8 million people work in the regional economics and the overall number of the able-bodied population in Bashkortostan is 2,4 million. It looks that about 600 thousand people, who might have worked, stay jobless. Our second aim is to give our people not just the workplaces but offer them good wages. At present time the average wage in the Republic makes up 16 thousand rubles, i.e. approximately 500 dollars and it is far from enough for the industrially developed region”.
In opinion of Rustem Khamitov the problem with population employment should be solved through small enterprises. The time of the giant plants with dozens thousand people working is off and the future is with innovations, small and medium business.
“Small enterprises can successfully work jointly with the big ones” – the President of Bashkortostan believes – “We have enough big companies, producing various industrial raw materials, for example JSC “SALAVATNEFTEORGSINTEZ”. If the small satellite companies, busy with this raw materials’ processing and with production of goods, using this raw material, are established around this giant, it would allow us to solve the problems of unemployment, raise the budget intakes and improve the people’s prosperity in a whole – same can be said about small processing productions, working near the state farms and big farmings”.
Talking to the journalists the President of Bashkortostan has also indicated the problem of budget provision in the Republic. In his opinion it is too low, though Bashkortostan is found in the Top10 of the most prosperous regions in the country.
“30 billion rubles of 100 billion of the consolidated Republican budget is spent for education” – the President said – “Other 20 – for health protection sphere. 26 billion rubles is spent for provision of pensioners, invalids, children-orphans, families with many kids and other socially unprotected layers of population and thus only 24 billion remains on hand and we have to build housing, roads, invest to agriculture, forestry and solve plenty of other problems”.
