The virtual division of the Russian Museum started working in Ufa, giving the local residents a chance to see the masterpieces of the famous painters, not leaving the city. The exhibition was opened on Tuesday, September 28, at the Ufa State Academy of Arts by Zagir Ismagilov and the deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB Zugura Rakhmatillina, the rector of the Academy of Arts Amina Shafikova and representatives of the State Russian Museum Sergey Levandovsky and Anastasia Gavrilova were present at the opening ceremony.
“I am happy to be present at such important event as opening of the first in our Republic unique information-educational center “The Russian Museum: virtual; division” – Zugura Rakhmatullina said at the ceremony – “Thank to this project the citizens of our Republic, including the great army of pedagogues, students and pupils, receive the chance to touch the treasury of the Russian Museum. The center opens the access to the richest historical material”.
The project “The Russian Museum: the virtual division” is a long-term program on establishment of the integrated network of the multimedia centers on the base of scientific and educational investigations of the leading specialists of the Russian Museum in Russian cities and abroad.
71 such centers are opened in the country for today and similar center was opened in Beijing the day before. The President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev and the director of the State Russian Museum Vladimir Gusev have taken part in the opening ceremony.
