The Plenipotentiary of the President of Russian federation in the Volga federal district Gregory Rapota offers to follow the economic example of the United Arab Emirates.
“The economics of this country, once having grown up due to exploration of the oil deposits, depends on oil just by 10% at present time” – he said, talking to the teachers at the Ufa gymnasium N3 – “and trade and tourism make the main contribution to the country’s budget, therefore, this state is developing along the innovational way and not due to exploitation of its resources”.
In opinion of M-r Rapota Russia should follow this example and many people already grasp the necessity to develop innovations in the country. The last economic crisis has served as an incentive to this development. The high-tech productions have suffered from it most of all, this demonstrating their low competitive ability.
“The theme of innovations was the key one at the recent conference of the Volga federal district Council” — he said – “This problem is not just of high importance for the country but the question of our further survival depends on its successful solution because now Russia, being totally oriented towards the resource-based economics, turns out to be too vulnerable and if we want to make ourselves secure, providing us and our children with the future, we have to make investments to the innovational development, forming the innovational way of thinking in our youth”.
