The XX international Aksakov’s festival is held in Ufa

The XX international Aksakov’s festival, dated to the birthday of the Great Russian writer Sergey Aksakov, is held in Bashkortostan. It started in the capital RB on Friday, September 24, and would last till the end of this week.

The festive arrangements started in Ufa early morning in the village Kasimovo – the former estate of Sergey Aksakov’s father. The children’s festival in the honor of Aksakov’s family is held there now.

The Aksakov’s gymnasium N11 will become the next halt in the festival’s program. The Aksakov’s lesson will be traditionally conducted there with participation of the honorable guests – the laureate of the Literary Award by Sergey Aksakov-2010, the writer Constantine Skvortsov, cosmonaut Viktor Savinykh, the President of the International Slavic literature and culture Fund Alexander Krutov, the deputy “Hermitage” director, a descendant of Aksakov’s clan Vladimir Matveev, the President of the Russian culture support association in France Vladimir Sergeev and others.

Two exhibitions will be opened in the Aksakov’s Memorial House-Museum in Ufa — ”Ufa in Aksakov’s times”, devoted to the 145th anniversary of Ufa province and “The drawing-room of Olga Sergeevna Aksakova”. Same day the exhibition of restored colored photos (1910) of the Tsar’s photographer Sergey Prokudin-Gorsky will start working in “AF Bank”. The traditional children’s festival “Visiting the house-keeper Pelaguya” will be held in the Aksakov’s Garden Friday evening.

The annual student’s Aksakov’s ball and the ceremony of presentation of the Literary Award by Sergey Aksakov will take place at the Bashkir State Theater of opera and ballet on September 24. The show of Masters of Arts RB will be held there after.

The festive arrangements in the Aksakov’s historical-cultural center “NADEJDINO”, in the town of Belebey, in Karmaskalinsky region and in the village Zubovo, Ufimsky region, will continue the festival’s program on September 25 and 26.
