The monument to Sergey Aksakov is cast in Kazan
The monument to the famous Russian writer Sergey Aksakov is cast in Kazan. The bronze sculpture will be delivered for the Motherland of the author of “The Scarlet Flower” – Bashkiria tomorrow. The monument, which production took about two months, is made by the order of Sergey Aksakov’s compatriots and more than two tons of bronze was required for the sculpture, more than two meters high. The author is impressed in the chair with his favorite dog nearby.
Ivan Misko, the national painter of Byelorussia, laureate of the USSR State Award is the author of the bronze piece of art.
Tomorrow the truck will transport the bronze writer to the former estate of Aksakov’s family, to the Aksakov’s historical-cultural center in the village Nadejdino nowadays, consisting of the Aksakov’s Museum and the church, erected in the honor of the great writer.
Solemn opening of the monument is appointed on September 25, on the second day of the traditional Aksakov’s festival.
