The First open festival of social author’s cinema “KINOZRENIE” will take place in Ufa on October 15-17 and this is rather significant event in the cultural life of the country. The festival represents the crucial moment in the Russian amateur cinematography: the socially-oriented author’s cinema leaves the underground and declares its creative potential all over the country.
It looks interesting that neither Moscow nor Saint-Petersburg but the Ural out-of-the-way place – the city of Ufa becomes the festival’s site. Here the prosperous professional cinematography is absent but the author’s films, born on the Bashkir land, are rather numerous and interesting and one the festival’s founders – the film-school of Bulat Usupov – works in this direction, helping the amateur producers to demonstrate their works to the wide public, raising the social problems, really important for our society. This initiative of Bulat Usupov was supported by the Ufa Development Public Fund. Now this idea successfully comes true.
The terms for participation in the filmfest are quite simple – producers mustn’t have special education in the sphere of cinema and mustn’t work in this sphere professionally: the forum is held for the amateur film-makers. More detailed information is available on the festival’s site www.kinozrenie.ru.
