The President is 45

The President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev is celebrating his 45th birthday today and he intends to spend his third birthday on the supreme state post together with his family in Sochi, where he is found on a work visit.

Dmitry Medevev was born on September 14, 1965, in Leningrad. He has finished the juridical faculty of the Leningrad’s State University and the post-graduate study there too. In 1990-1998 he was working as a pedagogue at the same University, at the same time taking up the post of the advisor chairman of the Leningrad’s city council and the expert of the foreign relations committee in Saint-Petersburg’s administration.

Being 34 years old Dmitry Medvedev has become the deputy head of the Russian Government’s Machinery and later the deputy and the first deputy head of the Kremlin administration. In October 2003 he has led the Administration of the President of Russia.

Two years later Dmitry Medvedev has taken up the post of the first deputy Chairman of the Russian Government. In March 2008 being 42 years old he was elected the President of Russia, thus having become the youngest head of the state for the last 100 years and one of the youngest political leaders in the world.
