The production indices of the international airport “Ufa” have stable tendency to growth. Thus, more than one million passengers have been serviced for eight months of 2010. The airport marketing department reports 259,7 thousand passengers was transported on the international airlines – by 46,4% more than in January-August 2009. The index of the summary takeoff weight is increased by more than 11%.
The geography and frequency of the flights are widened not only in the northern directions (to the cities of Nagan, Tyumen and Khanty-Mansiysk) but in the southern direction too (Sochi, Anapa, Krasnodar). The air communication with the CIS cities – Dushanbe, Baku, Yerevan and Khudgand – will be resumed in autumn. Along with the traditional directions, such as Turkey, Egypt, Spain, Cyprus and Goa, one more popular tour is added this year – Tunis. The regular air flight to the Arab Emirates “Ufa-Dubai” will start working on September 24.
The international airport “Ufa” holds leading positions in the Volga-Ural region by sorties and conveyance of passengers and holds the ninth place among the biggest Russian airports by the passenger traffic.
