The VII international festival of Finno-Ugric nations’ culture and art “The Gems of Kama” will be held in Bashkiria on September 8-11 and the towns of Neftekamsk and Birsk as well as Kaltasinsky, Krasnokamsky, Mishkinsky, Yanaulsky and Tatyshlinsky regions will become its masters this time.
The Ministry of culture RB reports solemn opening of the festival will take place on September 8 in Birsk and the big folklore-ethnographic festival “BIRSKIE POTEKHI” will be held there the same day.
Mishkinsky and Kaltasinsky regions of Bashkortostan will receive the guests on the next day. The all-Russian Finno-Ugric dance festival “MURPELEDYSH” will take lace on September 9 in the first region and the folklore Finno-Ugric festival ”The Heritage” will take place in the second one.
On September 10 the festive arrangements will move to Tatyshlinsky region to the festival of Udmurt culture and Krasnokamsky region will receive the participants of the festival also on September 10. The festival of Finno-Ugric nations “KAMSKIE PROSTORY” will be opened there.
The final festival’s day, September 11, will be held in the town of Neftekamsk. The festival will be finished with the Finno-Ugric folklore show “One Family” wit participation of the best amateur folk groups. The gala-show of the VII international festival “The Gems of Kama” will take place the same day on the stage of the town culture park.
The festival “The Gems of Kama” is held in the north-western part of the Republic since 1991 and it always represents the picturesque show of international friendship, giving all people a chance to get to know the national culture of Finno-Ugric nations. The artists from Khanty-Mansiysky autonomous region, Komi, Udmurtia, Mordvinia, Mari Al, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Orenburg and Perm regions and also from Hungary, Finland, Estonia and Latvia were the guests
