To mark the beginning of a new school year, the Bashkir State Puppet Theatre is organizing charity performances for children from problem families, boarding schools and orphan asylums. They are scheduled for September 4, 5 and 9. According to Fardia Alibaeva, the head of the literary department of the theatre, the performances "Punch and Roly-Poly", "Rhinoceros and Giraffe", "School for a Pedestrian" will be presented to the audience.
Fardia Alibaeva says that the current season is pre-anniversary for the Bashkir Puppet Theatre (in 2012 it will celebrate its 80th anniversary). That is why the troupe is going to work hard during the whole year.
Thus, on September 9, the Puppet Theatre will be one of the first to open a new theatrical season in Ufa. On this day, the audience will see the new production titled "School for a Pedestrian" after the play of Vladimir Miodushevsky.
The next first night is scheduled for September 18. It will be a new staging of the famous Andersen's fairy-tale "Thumbelina" performed by the Bashkir troupe.
