Yuri Chernitsev, the head of the RB Directorate for Combating Economic Crimes, reported interesting data at the briefing, which was held in the press centre of the agency and was devoted to anti-corruption measures. Analysts of the Ministry of the Interior figured out the average size of a bribe in different spheres. Here are the figures for seven months of 2010:
Bodies of authority and management — 143 thousand roubles;
Education — two thousand 500 roubles;
Forest industry — two thousand roubles;
Public health — 500 roubles;
The average sum in the Russian Federation is 29 thousand roubles.
In 2009, the picture was as follows:
Bodies of authority and management — 20 thousand roubles;
Forest industry — four thousand roubles;
Education — two thousand roubles;
Public health — one thousand 500 roubles.
Judging by these data, the average size of a bribe fell almost everywhere, and in government agencies it increased seven times.
