The meeting of the President RB Rustem Khamitov with the deputy chairman of the Federation Council Alexander Torshin has taken place in the Government RB today. During the meeting the parties were discussing the problems in sphere of Russian legislation and such actual themes as development of agriculture, struggle with forest fires and establishment of a powerful bank infrastructure in the Republic.

“In particular, we’ve determined the amounts of the credit resources, necessary for the Republic in order to produce certain sorts of agricultural output” – Alexander Torshin said to the journalists after the end of the negotiations – “I’d like to say these sums are rather small and it means that unlike some other regions your Republic copes with its problems self-dependently”.

Alexander Torshin called the fact that some big banks recently halted their activity on the territory of Bashkortostan a big strategic mistake of these financial institutions.

“At the same time it stands for a big loss for your Republic too” – he said – “In order to fill the gap you have either to establish your own big bank or a bank holding”.
