The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov is making a work trip over the Chishminsky region of the Republic today, where he intends to become acquainted with work of the local agricultural enterprises.
At present time 14,5 thousand hectares in the region are occupied with the fodder crops. 7,5 thousand tons of hay, 10 thousand tons of straw and 10 thousand tons of silos is stored up in the region. 9,2 thousand hectares of grain crops, 1,2 thousand hectares of sugar-beet and 0,4 thousand hectares of sunflower have died in the region because of the drought. At present time the grain crops are thrashed on the territory 24 thousand hectares – 80% of what have been sown. The average crop capacity is 10 centners from one hectare. All categories of local farmings keep 26,2 thousand heads of cattle – by 13% less than in 2009.
