Rehearsals of the TURKSOY Youth Chamber Orchestra that was founded on the initiative and with the assistance of Dusen Kaseinov, the secretary-general of the Joint Administration of Turkic Arts and Culture (TURKSOY), have been held in Ankara since July 21. This multinational project is aimed at international popularization of cultural and creative potential of the Turkic-language world using the language of Western classical and Turkic pieces of music.
According to the official site of TURKSOY, this creative team includes representatives of seven republics making the Joint Administration of Turkic Arts and Culture: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and also Bashkortostan and Tatarstan (the Russian Federation).
The concert program of the TURKSOY Youth Chamber Orchestra includes classical compositions and pieces of Turkic composers.
The first concerts of the Orchestra will be organized in Ankara and Istanbul within the framework of the 1st Istanbul International Festival of Youth Orchestras. They will be dedicated to the memory of the outstanding musician and conductor Fuat Mansurov.
Besides, the Orchestra is afforded the honour of participation in the opening ceremony of the 60th Bairoit Festival of Young Artists (August 7) and also the party devoted to the festival in Bairoit (August 12).
