Orthodox Christians will come out to struggle with the drought
The Christian believers will come out to struggle with the drought today. The public prayers about rain will take place in all churches of the Russian Orthodox Church, including the territory of Ufa eparchy. The Patriarch of Moscow and the whole of Russia Cyril will pray together with all other believers. He will celebrate the service in the town of Lukoyanov, Nizhniy Novgorod region, where the drought has become the main reason of numerous fires.
The abnormal heat and the absence of rains became a real disaster for the whole country in 2010. Bashkortostan stands in the list of Russian regions, suffering from the drought most of all together with Orenburg, Volgograd, Pskov, Ryazan, Nizhniy Novgorod and some other regions. The attempt to call the gods for the struggle with the drought is not the first one this summer. Not long ago Russian Muslims also prayed for a rainy weather in all mosques of the country.
