The Government of Sverdlovsk region will place its agricultural lands at the disposal of Bashkortostan and Chelyabinsk region, which have seriously suffered from the drought this year. The head of the Middle Ural Alexander Misharin stated about it on July 22, the internet edition www.uralpolit.ru reports.
According to the Government of Sverdlovsk region the heads of local municipalities are estimating the possibility to place their lands at the disposal of the neighbors now. It is already known the representatives of Bashkiria and Chelyabinsk region are expected in Prigorodny and Redgevsky districts. It should be noted that there are the territories, suffering from the drought, in Sverdlovsk region too. In particular, 25% of grain crops are lost in Artinsky, Krasnoufimsky and Kamensky districts. 10% of grain crops were burnt down in other six districts. At the same time M-r Misharin says the food security of the territory is found under strict control.
