The Government RB discussed problems of social adaptation for former prisoners
The meeting of the intergovernmental commission for prevention of violations of the law and struggle with criminality has taken place in Ufa today under the chairmanship of the deputy Prime-Minister of Government RB Rafael Divaev. In particular, the mater was the adaptation to civil life for former prisoners.
According to M-r Divaev more than 6400 people have been released from the prisons in 2009. At present time almost 17 thousand people are registered by the police as the former prisoners.
The Vice-Premier underscored the experience of Bashkortostan for social adaptation of the former prisoners was many timed marked at the federal level.
At the same time the growth of the second offences was registered in the Republic in 2009. At that more than 70% of crimes have been committed by the former prisoners, having no permanent sources of income. According to information of the population employment state service under the Ministry of labor and population social protection RB 442 former convicted persons have been employed in 2009. These people have received more than 210 thousand rubles from the federal exchequer as a moneyed assistance. Republican enterprises regularly reserve workplaces for such people every year, organizing professional training courses for them.
It was marked the abovementioned actions had positively influenced upon the situation with the second offences in the region. From the beginning of 2010 the former convicted people have committed by 8,4% of crimes less than for the same period of time in 2009.
