More than half of Ufa residents (51.4%) are satisfied with their current job, while 9.6% would like to change it as soon as possible. This data of the social research carried out by Ufa Administration were reported today by the city mayor Paul Kachkaev. The research studied opinion of Ufa residents about the city's economical state, the level of social maintenance in it, and work of the city communal and transport services.

The alarming fact is that most residents (80%) evaluate the ecological situation in the city as bad. Last year 72% of the interviewees expressed the same opinion.

More than half of the people participating in the poll (55.2%) made positive evaluation of the city's sanitary state and nearly 40% of the respondents consider it unfavourable. It is significant that almost the same percentage of Ufa residents believe that the organization of garbage removal is poor (46%) and leisure areas are not equipped with necessary facilities (39%).

However, the system of public transport in Ufa was highly appreciated. 92% of the respondents were pleased with its work. The overwhelming majority of the city residents also find the condition of roads in the city quite satisfactory.

The overall economical situation in the republic is estimated by 28.6% of its residents as improved in comparison with 2009, and 26.4% of the population believe it got worse. 35.6% of the respondents said that their income had grown as compared to the previous year, and 24.5% said the opposite. The rest of respondents answered that their revenue was the same.

At the same time, the curious fact is that more than 60% of the pollees consider that prices for foodstuffs grow faster this year than in 2009, although the official statistics proves the contrary. In all probability, it is the consequences of the financial crisis that tells upon the opinion of the residents.
