Uri Pustovgarov: “The level of business undertakings should be raised”
The meeting of the section “Development of small and medium business undertakings” has taken place within the frames of the III World Bashkir Kurultay under the chairmanship of the deputy Prime-Minister of Government RB, Minister of industry, investment and innovational policy RB Uri Pustovgarov and the chairman of the World Bashkir Kurultay executive committee’s Employers Coordination Council, General Director of the company “STROYTRADING” Irshat Asylgydgin.
The exhibition, where the traditional Bashkir arts and crafts, local foods and drinks were demonstrated, was opened in the foyer of the Bashkir State Theater of opera and ballet, where the businesspeople — the delegates of the III Bashkir Kurultay gathered.
In opinion of Uri Pustovgarov the class of businesspeople and owners in the region still can’t be called numerous, especially among Bashkirs. He sited the figures, witnessing the level of small and medium business development in Bashkortostan. Thus, by the level of 2009 there were more than 125,5 thousand subjects of small and medium business, involved in all spheres of economic activity, in the Republic, including more than 27,3 thousand small enterprises, 402 medium enterprises, 93,2 thousand individuals and 4,6 thousand farmers.
Small and medium enterprises provide for 24% of the republican circulation and 17% of the Republican output. The share of small and medium business in the Republican gross regional product exceeds 21% and about 335 thousand people work in this sphere.
“In order to make our economics stable the class of businesspeople should make up at least 50-60%" — Uri Pustovgarov reported — "And the branch structure of our small and medium business also can’t be called satisfactory".
Really, in the branch structure retail trade makes up 50-60%, agriculture – 15-20%, building – 5-10%, processing productions – 4-6%, consumer services – 2-3% etc. The number of the peasant’s farmings (farmers) makes up just 0,4%.
“Unfortunately the regions with mainly Bashkir population, i.e. 10-15 regions, turned out to be less economically developed” – M-r Pustovgarov said – “Correspondingly, the number of businessmen there is less than in other regions”.
As the Minister reported, the Government RB is solicitous about this problem as well as about the prospect in development of the depressive regions and mono-town. In its opinion along with the substantial financial backstopping establishment of various industrial parks, business-incubators, outsourcing system and restoration of the traditional Bashkir arts and crafts will be able to become helpful for the development of business undertakings.
Uri Pustovgarov also said yes to the idea on establishment of the Charitable Fund under the World Bashkir Kurultay and added he was ready to transfer one million rubles there.
At the end of the discussion its participants approved the resolution, indicating the main aims and directions on development of business undertakings among Bashkir nation.
