“Our nearest strategic goal is to make Bashkortostan a headmost region, one of the leaders in modernization in Russia and this goal is quite real!” – The President of Bashkortostan Murtaza Rakhimov is certain.
“We highly appreciate the social-economic stability, the indicated rates of economic growth and the rise of Russia’s prestige and influence in the world, achieved by the Russian authority" — the leader of the region said, speaking before the delegates of the III World Bashkir Kurultay in Ufa. At that he turned attention to the serious discrepancies of modern policy with respect to the Russian regions.
“If in the conditions of wide self-dependence of the regions many of them managed to achieve high results, certain moments of excessive centralization and neglect to the basic principles of federalism let themselves know at present time" — The President RB mentioned.
Murtaza Rakhimov called the introduction of the amendments to the federal law about languages, undermining the already existing legal norms for joining of younger generation to language and culture of its nation, without preliminary agreement with the regions, the legislative practice in the spheres of joint competence of the federal center and the regions, when the federal norms don’t leave place for the regional law-making, permanent outlawry of the regional initiatives and some other things as the examples of such neglect.
