“We understand that today, in the process of overcoming of the after-effects of the global crisis and the transition to the policy of fast modernization the country is entering a new stage of social-economic transformation and thereby new guidelines and goals of development and new mechanisms for achieving of these goals are under consideration. In these conditions it is important not to step back from the constitutional principles of federalism, which proved their efficiency in consolidation of the country’s unity and in reaching the balance between the interests of the center and its regions” – the President RB said in his report at the III World Bashkir kurultay.
The head of the Republic has marked that “scientists and politicians are talking and writing much today about our state system, its forms and ways of development in Russian Federation. At the present stage of Russia’s development the state system for Bashkirs as well as for other nations of our Republic is not just the status and the competences in the articles of the Russian Constitution but first of all the possibility to achieve higher results under the rules, common for all regions. This is the solvency of the Republic before the federal exchequer and real resources for the solution of the internal social and economic problems. I mean the development of modern production and business, the market of investments, infrastructural and financial support for the budget employees, veterans and people with scanty means. Sure, it is necessary to consolidate the territorial integrity of our fatherland but we have to do it not at the expense of slipping down to the excessive centralization. Both the powerful center and self dependent strong regions and further perfection of the federative relations are important for the country now" — the President RB underscored, thus supporting the statement of Vladimir Putin in Novosibirsk concerning development of federalism in Russia.
